BMW F10 cabin air filter is located behind the glove box. If your vehicle is equipped with a knee air bag battery must be disconnected.
1. Disconnect the battery. The battery is located in the trunk under the trunk liner.
2. Remove the center console trim.
Pull on the front part of the trim and once the front clips are unclipped, slide the trim piece forward to unclip the back of the trim.

Remove the screws that hold the black cover below the glove box and the screws that hold the knee air bag.
Disconnect and remove the knee air bag. Take extra care not to damage the connector.
Remove the black trim piece that is below the glove box. Disconnect the light and the charging port.
The cabin air filter housing is now exposed. Remove the bottom cover.
Now you can slide the old filter out and replace it with a new one.
