To remove the BMW F10 535i or 528i headlight the bumper needs to be removed. Fortunately, BMW made the bumper removal an easy task.
Jack up the car and remove the front wheels.
Remove the front portion of the fender liner.
Each side of the bumper has two screws holding the bumper to the fender. Remove all 4 screws.
Remove the rivets that hold the plastic cover to the radiator support.
Remove all torx bolts that hold the bumper to the radiator support.
Remove the lower bumper trim next to the fog lights.
Remove the rivet that holds the bumper to the brake cooling duct.
If the vehicle is equipped with the parking aid sensors, unplug the sensor harness on the passenger side of the vehicle. Also, disconnect the cameras if equipped and the fog lights.
Remove the bumper.
Remove the plastic under hood trim.
The headlights are held in place with four screws. Remove all four screws, slide the headlight slightly forward and disconnect the harness.
